Bacon and Cabbage Nyumen
Easy cooking with chicken soup. The richness of bacon is the secret of this savory soup!


  1. Boil the Somen.
  2. Cut the bacon slices into 3cm width pieces.
  3. Chop the cabbage leaves into thin rectangular pieces.
  4. Bring water and chicken consommé to a boil in a pot. Add the bacon (cut in Step 2) and the cabbage (Step 3). When the soup returns to a boil, place the Somen (Step 1) into the pot and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Arrange in a bowl and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

  • 2 bundles of Ibonoito Somen
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 2 cabbage leaves

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 chicken consommé cube
  • Salt and pepper
  • Parsley, finely chopped
